Punjabi Winter Food Recipe

As we are taking about food the first attraction goes to Punjabi delicious food. Punjab is a northern state of India and is very popular for its rich food. Punjabi recipe is prepared in delicious gravy and melted in butter/ desi ghee. Punjabi dishes are simple, healthy and yet has its own enchantment. The famous dishes like mutter paneer, daal makhani, parathas melted in butter with curd and lassi are popular in all over India. Following are few recipes of Punjabi cooking, hope you will like them.


Ingredients :- 
Mustard leaves - 500gms
Spinach - 200gms
Bathuwa - 200gms
Garlic cloves - 3
Ginger – 1 inch
Green chilli - 2
Salt according to Taste
Maize flour - 1 tbsp
Pinch Sugar - 1
tbsp Ghee - 2
Asafoetida - 1
Pinch Onions - 1
chopped Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Pinch Turmeric powder - 1


Sarso Da Saag recipe : - 
Clean and wash sarson, spinach and bathuwa. Chop the leaves finely.
Chop ginger, garlic cloves and chillies.
Pressure cook the spinach, sarson, bathuwa with garlic, ginger and chillies. When cool, grind it to smooth paste.
Heat ghee in a vessel, add hing and onions. Fry until light brown. Add salt and turmeric powder. Mix well.
Add the ground saag and simmer the flame. Cook for few minutes.
Add the maize flour, red chilli powder, sugar and stir well.
Serve hot with paratha or makki ki roti.
